Helen and Eric have been together in bands or just the two of them for at least twenty one years (doesn't time fly).
So you may have seen them somewhere before.
HELEN/Vocals
Gig Favourites
Into The Groove-challenging but a favourite
I Don't Feel like Dancing-makes me feel like dancing
agree with the no.1 for a change
December '63-a funky disco tune
The Hustle-always liked it,very catchy
Has been playing the drums for a number of years (you know better than to ask). Started with middle of the road and country (a good place to start), although likes anything with a good beat. Since working with Eric has gone towards the rock side and started to sing lead vocals. Sadly with a change to disco music the drumming is left to the drum machine. More demand on the singing so can not do both (sometimes sacrifices have to be made).
Although a challenge on the singing Helen is enjoying every minute.
ERIC/guitar
Gig Favourites
Le Freak-finally nailed it
Funky Town-only need one chord
and this is the one
Boogie Nights-great groove
The Hustle-works well on guitar
Has been performing guitar and keyboards for a good few years (over 25 years) but leaves the keyboards at home now (too much lifting over the years).
Started with folk music from Ralph Mc Tell to learning fast tunes in unusual time signatures. Spent some time performing songs from I Just Called.... to Sultans Of Swing with a visit to Hank Marvin.
Then playing rock with songs from Free, Jam, Feeder and Lenny Kravitz (really enjoyed playing Are You Gonna Go My Way).
But has now changed minor pentatonic riffs for sophisticated chords and doesn't even know their names.
Eric is enjoying this new direction which has given Helen a chance to sing at her best.
